I bought my T Day turkey yesterday. That's one giant hunk of meat. I've only ever cooked dinner for the official "family" gathering once before and so I'm feeling the pressure. Can't say I'm a stellar cook....mostly traditional stuff. "Nothing Fancy" as my mom would say but pretty tasty.
I took Liam to Sears the other day for his Christmas photo. I cheaped out and didn't buy school photos for him this year so I did it this way instead. He's a cute kid and I made the mistake of telling him so and he replied "yeah, I'm good looking". He was pretty pleased with himself and the pics he took (obviously) and suprisingly he talked the whole entire time. I think he just enjoys hearing the sound of his own voice. I didn't think I'd get him to smile either with the braces but he was Mr. GQ for the entire session. It's the most fun I've had with Liam in quite awhile. I love making that occasional connection with my 12 year old.
It just dawned on me that this blog is an adultified verson of a diary. I had a cute one when I was about 10 with Garfield on the cover and the little lock on the side....like that stopped anyone from uncovering all my secrets! I gave it to Abby to mess with and read. We read some of it together and I have to say I didn't like my sisters much. They obviously never did what I told them to. Abby has always wanted a sister so I hope it was an eye opening read for her. Lord knows she has enough dolls as a good substitution.
