Holiday Handy craft

I've seen these primitive embroidered handy crafts everywhere during the holidays and each time I see them I say "That would be so easy to make". Well without a pattern it's not as easy as it looks. I spent forever free handing it on my tea stained cloth and then took two evenings in front of the TV watching The Girls Next Door to complete it. I told the kids that it is now a family heirloom and not to fight over it when I'm gone (I didn't really say that last part but I thought it).
